First I did drawing in pencil and scanned it.
now time to put it on illustrator and pen tool the image
then I start organizing my layers
I decided to be basic and not use the gradient tool, and color it in my own way:
In the book, the tutorial is about making a sign in adobe illustrator, and i kinda did it backwards (but at least I did it – where’s my gold star?)
I started by creating the lines and rendering them (cause who wants to read about lines anyway)
then i did the signboard by following the steps with how to make patterns nd make dem look niiice
slap some words on dat doh
using the brush took and square tool i was able to make the rectangle kind of look like wood and added more text
the i added handles and used this to put things together
i used teh remaining steps to make the bootleg choco boxes
heres the final
*claps for effort*
this lesson is really just about navigating in Illustrator
I was able to arrange the tools and learn how to expand the windows to see them better After I would click Window>Workspace>Reset Essentials after anything I arranged
Afterwards I started to learn about viewing the image in different ways: inked, pixel preview and the outline of the logo/drawing
then towards the end of the lesson I learned how to view the art boards so that i can see all three at the same time
*claps*
it’s that time to make lines – using the pen tool. here is part one: making zigzags with the pen tool and separating them
In part two was kind of difficult making straight lines
in part three and four I started to make curves
may not look just like the picture but at least I tried – gold star for effort.
Here is the last part and a failed attempt to make more lines, move them around and cut them in half.
then I tried to color the violin – but the struggle would not permit such thing
I decided to scan this guy in, because I really like the pose

so then i started to erase both the left part of the arm and leg so that I can begin to add this prosthetic parts to the picture using the select+ transform-warp tool.

add the smoke effect as well .

afterwards I took little pieces of wire to attach it to the neck and kind of make it match the shape of it I guess /:)
I used a circuit board and tried to overlay the layer so that the circuit can blend with the skin so that this guy can be pretty. I applied it to the torso and the left arm. here are the layers:

now this is the final product thingy, I know it looks simple but I didn’t want to put so much on this guy.
